We’re excited to welcome L.E. Sells to the Spark & Quill family.
L.E. Sells is an indie author with a passion, perhaps even a borderline obsession, for writing delightfully spicy romance in all its forms. Her work often blends romance with the supernatural, exploring worlds filled with monsters, magic, and irresistible danger. Paranormal romance and fantasy are her natural playgrounds, though she also enjoys writing contemporary fiction whenever she manages to step away from the fairies and vampires.
Her debut historical fiction novel, Going to the Water, was published in 2017. Like many independent authors starting out, she dove headfirst into the publishing world with enthusiasm, even if she freely admits she had no idea what she was doing at the time. Marketing? That came later.
In 2023, she completed Genesis, a fanfiction novel that is currently available on Archive of Our Own (AO3), where it has been enjoyed by readers who share her love for dramatic romance and supernatural intrigue.
Her newest novel, Kindred, arrived in October 2025 and marks her third self-published work. The story introduces readers to a world where genetic vampires exist, and yes, things get a little dangerous, a little seductive, and a lot complicated.
Outside of writing, L.E. Sells has spent the past 15 years working as a labor and delivery nurse, a career she deeply loves. Balancing that demanding job with writing, however, requires an extraordinary amount of coffee. She lives in Northern California with her two daughters, who she proudly calls amazing, and her husband, who is still waiting for the day she finally closes her laptop and comes to hang out.
We’re thrilled to have her join the Spark & Quill roster and can’t wait for readers to discover her stories.
